Matterhorn Fit’s South Florida Rehab and Training Centers

Ryan Vesce and Sean Sullivan were introduced during Vesce’s 14-year career playing professional ice hockey. After several injuries forced Vesce to undergo significant back and hip surgeries, he and Sullivan created a rehabilitation and training process that combined the world’s best rehab techniques with Sullivan’s unique training methodology. The results were immediate, and Vesce continued playing hockey pain-free for an additional five years. Recognizing the inherent limitations of traditional physical therapy, Ryan and Sean wanted to share their unique proprietary process to help individuals alleviate pain, remove compensation in their system, and build resilience to future injury.

In 2018, Ryan Vesce and Sean Sullivan opened the first Matterhorn Fit location in Bonita Springs, Florida. Matterhorn Fit’s elite sports training facility was founded with the mission to restore and empower active lifestyles through the same holistic healing and performance process used by the world’s best athletes. After great success, Matterhorn Fit opened its second location in Naples, Florida, in 2021.

Sean Sullivan, Co-Founder & Director of Health, Performance

Sean received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of New England and went on to obtain his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) Certification. His work with professional athletes has taken him to some of the most elite training centers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, and Finland. Prior to Matterhorn Fit, Sean owned and operated his own facility, where he worked exclusively with professional athletes for eight years. He is an expert in training both athletes in all sports and active seniors who want to live pain-free. Currently, Sean trains over 50 professional athletes, 11 Olympians, and hundreds of active individuals at Matterhorn Fit’s Southwest Florida Fitness Centers. He has extensive experience training athletes in Hockey, Golf, Tennis, Soccer, Baseball, Football, Track & Field, and Basketball.

Sean has developed a unique training philosophy that uses movement to eliminate compensation patterns and increase mobility, speed, and strength while improving body composition. He has had great success training people of all ages and levels—from active seniors to professional athletes—and enjoys positively impacting lives through movement. “We are committed to providing each and every customer with the personal attention that they deserve. Our knowledge and attention to detail enable us to develop tailored solutions and achieve results previously considered unattainable ,” stated Sean Sullivan.
